Andrew qualified from Queen’s University Belfast in 2008 with a BDS honours degree; he then completed his vocational training and returned to Banbridge. He worked for his family practice, before taking on implant and minor oral surgery work at several other clinics.  Implant dentistry has been a large component of his clinical practice since 2010 and Andrew has undertaken extensive and continuous training in this time, all the while gaining a wealth of clinical experience. In 2023 Andrew opened Precision Implant Clinic in Banbridge, a clinic devoted to dental implants, minor oral surgery, sedation and difficult extractions.

After many years combining general dental practice with implant and surgical dentistry, Andrew’s extensive training – including from renowned clinicians such as Dr Raja Patel and Dr Ashok Sehti – and considerable clinical experience, has led to his clinical practice now being defined and refined to both implant dentistry and minor oral surgery procedures. This includes:

  • A wide range of clinical implant solutions, from single tooth to full arch solutions, as well as ‘teeth in a day’
  • Complex extractions including wisdom teeth and impacted canines
  • Surgical endodontics (apicectomies)
  • Periodontal (gum) surgery

Additionally, he is trained in and provides conscious sedation for patients and is a recognised mentor for the Society of Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry.  Andrew is registered with both the General Dental Council (UK) and Irish Dental Council. Andrew is currently a board member of, and Northern Ireland Representative for, the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI). Andrew is excited to open Armagh Dental Clinic and bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm and is devoted to deliver a high quality service to the public of Armagh.

Away from work, Andrew is kept busy with his young family, enjoys good food, walking in the Mournes – and going to the gym.
